Dear Peter
On behalf of the crew of Just Enough and Pwllheli Sailing Club I would like to thank you for your efforts in promoting the ISORA series again this year. I will put the race 10 results, your report and the full series results on the Pwllheli Sailing Club Web site.
It was fantastic to see so many in Pwllheli on Friday evening despite the forecast.
The spring tides experienced during the race was exceptional. We were one of the boats caught in the awesome, washing machine rip tides off south Bardsey.  We did manage to break out and then launched our code zero but this set us too far north despite our game plan of going west fast. The tides experienced in St Georges Channel was also a problem, we had boat speeds of 8 and 9 knots at times but only 3 or 4 knots over the ground.
We lost count of the number of sail changes and the final beat into Howth was exhausting. We were so glad to finish before the tide turned against us again.
We left Howth at 0715 Sunday morning and arrived back in Pwllheli at 2000 before the forecasted SW gale arrived.
Again many thanks for an exciting series of challenging races enjoyed (endured) by all.
The ISORA family has grown under your stewardship with 37 competing yachts in 2010. I believe that the standard of seamanship and the fellowship within this fleet is second to none.
I would also like to congratulate Matt and the crew of Raging Bull for winning the overall prize for the year. We will be trying again next year but we will enjoy the rest until then.

Thanks again

Stephen
Ladies and Gents,

I attached the report on Race 10 of the series and the points table for the overall series.

Congratulation to Matt Davis and "Raging Bull" who is the 2010 ISORA Offshore Champion with a spectacular series of race results.

The prize giving will take place at the ISORA Annual Dinner dance at the NYC on the 6th November. This is a Black Tie event and is always a great night - not to be missed. Bookings to Mae'r cyfeiriad e-bost hwn wedi'i warchod rhag robotiaid sbam. Rhaid i chi alluogi JavaScript i'w weld. or by phone to +353 1 2805725. For those travelling a special price has been arranged in the nearby Royal Marine Hotel. This can be arranged through the Club office or directly with the hotel.

I will be circulating issues for discussion to take place at the AGM at the NYC on the 6th November at 14.00. I would be interested in feedback on possible alterations to the race series and dates. I am also considering changing the scoring system to the High Point System as used by the RAYC. This rewards the winners of the bigger races.

I welcome any issue to be considered and discussed at the AGM. The Association has reached a level where it should continue to thrive, but not without your continued help and participation.

Looking forward to seeing you all at the NYC on the 6th November.

Regards,

Peter Ryan
