THE GREAT HORNET SEARCH!

Hi

I am writing on behalf of the RYA National Hornet Association, attempting to make contact with Hornet owners and their boats that we have lost touch with over the years. This is going out to all dinghy sailing clubs in the UK, and we are hoping that you will assist us by ‘checking your books’ to see if you have any in your club. Forgive me if you aren’t the ideal contact, please pass this message on if necessary.

It may be that the owners have lost interest in the class, or sailing generally, or just enjoy pottering about locally, but we have such a shortage of boats that we would like to get the under utilised boats into new hands and back on the water where they belong.

Please respond, even if the answer is “No”, likely in 95%+ of the cases I expect.
