Clwb Hwylio Pwllheli Sailing club (CHPSC) values the Volco Champion Club status from the RYA immensely.

It shows that the commitment of all the Instructors and volunteers have been officially recognised. This status highlights that CHPSC provides sail training to local youngsters that allows them to reach their potential, be it taking part in club racing to being competitive at National and Wolrd championships. This official status will allow the propsed sailing academy to open at Pwllheli with an inhouse centre of sail training excellence. CHPSC sailors allready compete annually at National championships in Optimist, Toppper , Laser and 29er, and many excellent youth sailors are now feeding into our coaching team which will allow the standard of training to improve for the foreseeable future " |
