English (UK) CHPSC News:
Last Saturday saw a great deal of activity in the bay, with members taking advantage of fine weather for the club organised racing activity.
The Club and ISORA coastal race was the final "Global Displays Welsh Coastal Series" race of 2020 (comprising of four races) and the penultimate race of the UK ISORA Offshore series, separated this year from the Irish programme due to travel restrictions. The fleet embarked on a 38-mile race via Causeway and Madog Fairway, and recorded some impressive boat speeds on the run to the Causeway Buoy from PSC 10. " Jac Y Do" retired mid-way through the race with damage to the mast, with "Mojito" recording a fine win just ahead of "Jackknife" which confirmed "Mojito" as the 2020 Global Displays Welsh Coastal Series winner, and recipient of the Midland Bowl. Let's hope it's filled up with something appropriate tomorrow night, following the last offshore race of the season and confirmation of the ISORA UK series winner.

The NHC Cruisers and IRC inshore boats sailed two races, including one lap of the Tremadog triangle. Race 1 was won by Steve Walmsley "Uii" and the second by Andrew Rosewarne "Diogi". The lap of the triangle by Rob and Sarah Smith - "Perfect Pitch" now leads the NHC leader board. "Jackknife " leads the IRC leader board after a fast lap by Sam Hall last Saturday following the ISORA race

CHIPAC (Clwb Hwylio Ieuenctid Pwllheli A'r Cylch) - our youth sailing section continue their 2020 programme, and can be seen in action on Friday evenings from the balcony.
AIS - Marine Traffic
Thanks to the work of CHPSC club members in conjunction with ISORA, the three "marine traffic" base stations (one in Plas Heli, one on a hill overlooking Tremadog Bay and the other at Porthdinllaen) which are managed by Mark Thompson, Peter Dunlop/Will Parry Jones and Ken Fitzpatrick - are giving almost 100% coverage in our sailing areas, certainly as far as Aberystwyth and all the way to Dublin across the Irish Sea.
Recent communication from "Marine Traffic" congratulated us on our 100% reliability and area coverage. We thank the WiFi providers for hosting these stations, which as well as well as allowing shore supporters to follow the sailing activity, is a great safety enhancement and help to the RNLI/Coastguards.

Plas Heli Quayside Parking
The parking area on the Plas Heli Quayside is available for paid up CHPSC members and to authorised pontoon users.
To obtain a parking permit
The parking area is accessed through the gate adjacent to the old club building
The code to the gate is changed regularly and can be obtained through the plasheli.org website > Facilities> Parking. For convenience follow this shortcut link here
Fill in the details – put a tick in the box to confirm that you are a CHPSC member (have your 2020 membership number ready)
Then in the payment bit – use ‘I am a paid up CHPSC member and request permit for parking’ - Then Submit
You will then get a return e-mail with instructions
Please make sure the gate is closed and locked at all times and that the padlock is never left open or with the code left on the dial
