It is with great sadness we report the passing of Mike Raw.
Mike Raw, from Macclesfield, has had a boat on the Llyn Peninsula for many years, and one of the first to take a berth in the marina after its construction.
Mike was always the heart and soul of many parties at both the Sailing Club and in the Marina. Mike took a keen interest in all water sports, including yacht racing on J35 Banzai, and cruising on his series of “Raw Deal” motor-boats, and latterly Jet Skiing.
Mike always took time to pass on his boat handling skills to new owners and berth-holders and was a great friend to many of us.
Mike leaves behind his wife Caron, son James and daughter Emily, and a big void in all our lifes.
Work has started on moving the mountain of sand and gravel from the harbour entrance to replenish the beach near the golf course.
The work on the new groyne on th esouth side of the harbour entrance is also progressing
