March 2006

Notes from the Secretary

The Management Committee wish to thank those who replied to the Questionnaire sent out recently. As some of the 45 replies were from couples this is a pleasing response. The various issues raised have been passed to the relevant Sub-Committee or our Vice Commodore, Bob Sambrook who will be heading up a small working party to deal with the important subject of Communications.

It would be helpful if those who volunteered to assist in the running of Events or Committee work, without giving their names, kindly put their names forward through the Administration Officer, John Griffith, to Bob Sambrook for Events activities or the undersigned for Committee or Sub-Committee work.

With such a large range of interests and opinions we shall clearly not be able to please everyone but feel that we can greatly benefit from the views put forward. Further replies would be welcome if anyone overlooked the opportunity to respond to the Questionnaire.

The Management Committee have arranged a night for new and old members to come and meet the Committee. This will be on Tuesday April 18th between 6 and 8 o’clock light refreshments will be available.
