The calendar covers a 6 week period with all berth requests for that period shown in the calendar and summarised in a table below alongside a diagram showing the layout of the pontoons. Allocated berth requests are shown on the appropriate line of the calendar and unallocated requests are shown against berth "----" on the bottom line of the calendar. On the calendar, hover the cursor over a berth request to reveal more details about the request.

To allocate a request to a berth click on it's Berth button. A pop-up window will appear which contains a list of berths from which one can be selected. If the boat is longer than a single berth two adjacent berths can be selected by holding down the Ctrl or Shift keys while making a selection. If a berth request is refused select "XXXX" from the list. When a berth request has been paid for, click on the Paid drop-down and select Yes.

Clicking on the Update button will update the database containing the berth requests and refresh this page to show the allocations in the calendar.

The leftmost date in the calendar is always a Monday. To help to identify weekends, Saturday and Sunday have a green background in the list of days of the month.

Click on or to move the calendar display by one week earlier or later. Click on or to move the calendar display by four weeks earlier or later. Alternatively select a date using the drop-downs below the calendar and click on the Go button. The berth requests for the new period will be displayed and any changes to the berth request will be written to the database and displayed in the calendar and in the list of requests.

To block book all the pontoon berths for a keel boat event or similar: fill in a berth application form using the event name as Name of Vessel then select "All-" from the Berth drop down. It is also possible to block book a subset of the berths by selecting a series of berths in the same way as booking two berths for a long vessel. So a bay could be booked by selecting: E1, E2, E3, S1, W1, W2, and W3 for a single berth request.

RSForms holds form data in rsforms_submission_values. Each entry has fields: SubmissionId, FieldName and FieldValue. The SubmissionId is unique over all forms on a website. When a request is changed (e.g. to allocate a berth) updateField is called with a SubmissionId and a FieldName. UpdateField appends the SubmissionId and FieldName from its parameters and adds the selected value of the field using the DOM (Document Object Model) facilities of Javascript.
