The Club hosted the lunch stop for the Olympic Torch on Tuesday 28th May. Gareth was live on the BBC 1 Wales lunch-time news and with Radio Cymru. The Glan y Don penisula was crowded to welcome the Torch procession and the torch handovers were conducted in front of the Club. The 170 staff involved with the Torch said it was the best lunch they had been given since they had left Land’s End – well done Mel. Pictures of the event (© Peter Newton)
