Member Spotlight - Eifion Owen
Many members will know Eifion, who is a former CHPSC commodore, current member of the club management committee and CHIPAC senior instructor. As well as being a highly experienced inshore and offshore sailor, having completed many inshore and offshore events including ISORA races, Eifion spent his early years windsurfing, and was the first person to wind surf from North Wales to Ireland, a distance of 47 miles starting at Whistling Sands, and finishing at Wicklow.
There is a very interesting documentary following the build up and completion of this amazing challenge, filmed professionally by HTV and it can be accessed by clicking the link here or on the photo below.
Eifion continues to sail, race, row and cycle around his beloved Llyn Peninsula, and who knows what his next challenge will be!
